HOW CAN I HELP YOU WITH YOUR HAIR TRANSPLANT?

Check out my journey in videos below!

Hi, I’m Brian Dodge. I got my first hair transplant during the CoVid-19 pandemic on July 10th with Dr. Panine at the Chicago Hair Transplant Clinic. Before choosing my doctor, I did a lot of research online and consulted 15 clinics worldwide. I realized I had a passion for helping friends with advice on hair loss prevention and transplants. So, I created my YouTube channel, “Hair Transplant Reality,” to show people the real process.

People say my journey has helped them, and I want to share my knowledge to save you time and worry about hair transplants. I talk to doctors and experts to keep you updated on what works best. I’ll also give honest reviews on products and discuss general hair loss topics in a way that’s easy to understand. Let’s fight hair loss together! Feel free to email me questions or if you need advice on finding the right doctor. Thanks for your support!

The Start of My Journey

After surgery, I looked like a scary monster for about 48 – 72 hours. As the holes in my head sealed up, the swelling dropped into my face. Check out this video to see the daily update pictures of all the parts of my head.

First Week - Exciting Beginnings!

By day 7, it was barely noticeable that I’d had a surgery except for the shaved spot on the back of my head. I had no itching or pain, just a little stubble where no hair was before.

Ugly Duckling Stage

Month 1-3 was the worst. I looked healthy, but most of the transplanted hairs fell out, along with some of the naturally existing hairs, due to the shock of the surgery. This is called the “ugly duckling stage”. By month 3, I started to see little hairs starting to come back!

Exciting Progress!

By month 4, I had a full hair line with 1/2 an inch of hair. It wasn’t super thick, but it was more hair than I’d had in 8 years! I was excited to see where the hairline would be growing and how it would change my face!

Starting to Get Compliments!

By month 5, my hair looked amazing and the compliments really started coming in! You could easily do any haircut you’d like at this stage and your donor and top would look great. Some people can even do a hair cut at month 4.

My First Haircut: Feels Amazing

By month 6, I went to get my first real hair cut and it felt amazing! It was the first time I got a compliment from a barber in 10 years. He also couldn’t tell that I’d even had the transplant until I showed him pictures.
